Toys for Syrian Children

Posted on Friday, February 16, 2018

The Irish Red Cross are asking for toys for Syrian Children arriving to Ireland. Full details are in this article

Two flights per month are arriving in Ireland with Syrian refugees. 40% are children and these children have no toys or anything to play with.

We will collect toys here in school until Friday 2nd March. Edel Connaughton has organised the collection and will bring the donated toys to the Red Cross collection point in Ballinasloe.

 Ideally, toys should be:

  • new or nearly new
  • small
  • clean
  • not battery operated.
Examples of suitable toys are small teddies, puzzles, crayons and colouring books.

Maybe after the Christmas, there might be some unwanted toys in houses suitable to donate. Any donations gratefully accepted.
