Festive Walk & Fair

Posted on Monday, December 20, 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Tomorrow we have our Festive Walk, finishing at the Eyrecourt Christmas Fair.
We will set off at 1pm from the school and walk past the library to do a lap of the town finishing at the Square.
Tomorrow the children can wear comfortable clothes for the walk. Uniform is optional.  As it is quite cold, we were advising the children to wear their coats and add a Santa hat, tinsel, antlers or even some fairy lights. The emphasis is on fun and plenty of Christmas cheer.  Some children said they'll wear a Christmas jumper but with plenty of layers underneath.
The Eyrecourt Christmas Fair will open at 11:45am and parents can browse before the children come out on their walk.  Please park down at the hall and keep the footpaths clear for our walk.
When we reach the Square after the walk infant pupils can be collected by their parents. Any child who has a parent at the fair is free to go home with them, we will have their schoolbags ready. The school will continue to 3pm for any child who doesn't have a parent at the walk and fair.
On Wednesday we finish at 12pm for our Christmas break.
It's been a hectic few weeks but thankfully we still haven't had a Covid case inside our gates. Continue to exercise caution for these last two days and if in doubt, keep at home.
Looking forward to a lovely festive day tomorrow,
Kind regards,
Éilis Treacy
Principal
